DIYC Sponsors SC DOT Presenting:

Everything you ever wanted to know about the Woods Memorial (Swing) Bridge and a chance to speak with DOT experts.

Speakers include:

Kevin Turner, the DOT Bridge Engineer.  Kevin has been the Bridge Engineer for over 14 years.

Kevin will give a 20 minute presentation about the construction and history of the bridge; the bridge operation to include photos of the inside, and some on-going projects to extend the life of the bridge which is now a national historic landmark.

Adriane Radeker, Public Outreach Manager, Office of Public Engagement SC DOT

Adriane will give a 15 minute presentation that includes an overview of SCDOT’s 10-Year Plan, emerging trends in SC, and the statewide plan for the future of SC’s transportation network.

There will also be local construction/maintenance engineers available to answer questions and concerns.  BYOB and snacks will be available
